Gaming is an activity that lets you relax and forget about your daily problems. However, some games strive to help you mentally unwind while there are also some games that will keep you active.
While games like an online BlackJack game will engage the mind and possibly expand the wallet, these games will keep moving, playing, and functional in both mind and body.
Without further ado, here’s our current list of 8 games that will keep you active:
Zombies, Run!
Zombies, Run! was one of the first smartphone games as it basically lets you escape from a virtual zombie attack. Downloading this game and putting on your headphones is half the battle to get you off the couch and up and moving. You will be encouraged by a virtual coordinator who will help you “escape” from the crowd of zombies.
Beat Saber
Unless you live under a rock, you’ve heard about Beat Saber before. It single handedly sold more PS VR and Oculus Quest units than any other VR title available. The gameplay is simple: you hold two lightsabers while music starts to play and large cubes with color markers and directional signs move towards you. The player must cut the cubes rushing at him according to the indicators, while dodging the various blocks and landmines that appear along the path.
Just Dance 2022
A yearly tradition at this point, Ubisoft’s dancer gives you the option to flail around to today’s hottest pop songs. It’s also available for phones as well as consoles, so you can pretty much grab it on any platform you want. Simply mimic the dance moves on screen in order to score points.
Fitness Boxing 2
If you do not have time and energy to go to the gym, grab your Switch and punch the air. You can choose a workout for the whole body or specific parts, change the speed and intensity of the work load.
Dance Central
While Dance Central was a staple on the Kinect, the last iteration released on the Oculus Quest. Dance to up to 32 different tracks and move your body in ridiculous ways so you can’t see people in the room laughing at you.
Until You Fall
This game is absolutely intense as it gives you all of the best elements of an arcade style slasher game, with the weighted benefit of having enemies literally coming at you until you can’t keep up and get overwhelmed. You’ll be exhausted but also angry cause you have to take a break. It also features a killer synthwave soundtrack to keep you pumped.
Arms
While it’s not getting any further content, Nintendo’s original fighter Arms is also an excellent title that will get your body moving. Grab your controllers and let the fighter on the screen follow your moves. Box with your opponent, place blocks, and come up with combinations to win.
Sparc
It’s a Virtual Reality Competition made by the team behind Eve Online. You will have to move a lot: hit or dodge the ball, while trying to hit your ball to the enemy. Something between tennis, baseball, volleyball, and dodgeball.
