Alan Wake Remastered Listed on Taiwanese Store for PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X; May Launch October 5

Alan Wake Remastered

Taiwanese online store listings for Alan Wake Remastered have revealed the game is coming to PlayStation and Xbox consoles.

The game was discovered on the Epic Game Store databases alongside Final Fantasy VII Remake for PC. Unlike the Steam version, the code specifically mentioned Alan Wake Remastered.

Now, Wario64 (a Twitter account dedicated to gaming news) has once again discovered info about the game. Taiwanese store Rakuten has listed Alan Wake Remastered for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. While all now deleted or altered, cached and archived versions of two listings survived.

The store page also state the game will launch October 5th. While this may only apply to the Asia Region, the PC store listing may mean the game will have a global release, to ensure all platforms get a fair chance to compete at the same time. On the other hand, this date may also be a placeholder.

The original Alan Wake launched in 2010. The titular Alan Wake is a thriller writer, taken on vacation to help his writer’s block. As his wife is pulled under the water of the cabin’s surrounding lake, he awakens a week later, with shadowy figures haunting his every move to stop him finding his wife.

As he uses light sources to fend them off, he discovers what he is enduring has already been written in a book. A book that he has no memory of, yet lists him as the author.

The game’s sequel was eventually reworked into Quantum Break. Remedy Entertainment’s following title, Control, featured DLC based around Alan Wake.
