First 15 Minutes of Control AWE Expansion Gameplay

505 Games and developer Remedy Entertainment have released the first 15 minutes of gameplay from the AWE expansion for Control. 

As previously reported, in this second and final expansion, players will take Jesse Faden to the Oldest House. This is where the Federal Bureau of Control used to examine Altered World Events- AWE. This is where the paranatural enters the real world, with devastating consequences.


Players will need to explore the AWEs to reclaim the Investigations Sector from its clutches. One of these AWEs takes place in the town of Bright Falls, and focuses on the disappearance of writer Alan Wake.

The AWE expansion launches August 27th. In other news, Control Ultimate Edition was announced; along with that being the only way to upgrade Control to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.

After a secretive agency in New York is invaded by an otherworldly threat, you become the new Director struggling to regain Control.

From developer Remedy Entertainment, this supernatural 3rd person action-adventure will challenge you to master the combination of supernatural abilities, modifiable loadouts and reactive environments while fighting through a deep and unpredictable world.

Control is Jesse Faden’s story and her personal search for answers as she grows into the role of the Director. The world of Control has its own story, as do the allies Jesse meets along the way. Jesse works with other Bureau agents and discovers strange experiments and secrets.


Control is out now on Windows PC (via the Epic Games Store), PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Control Ultimate Edition launches August 27th on Windows PC (via Steam, September 10th via the Epic Games Store), September 10th digitally on PlayStation 4, Xbox One (end of 2020 physically for both consoles), and end of 2020 digitally on PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X (early 2021 physically for both consoles).
