Dear Villagers, Maple Whispering Limited, and Midgar Studio have announced the post-launch roadmap for open world RPG Edge Of Eternity.
As previously reported, the game is inspired by classic JRPGs. Set in the fantasy world of Heryon, the land has been torn apart by a cataclysmic war against mysterious alien invaders. Years into the war the invaders unleashed the Corrosion, a fatal plague that twists everything it comes into contact with into mutated abominations.
Players guide Daryon and Selene on their quest to cure the Corrosion and save Heryon. Explore a vast open world, befriend loyal companions, help the populace by completing quests, and fight enemies in a strategic turn-based combat system.
Since launching on June 8th, the developers have continued to release patches to improve the game, and considered other ways to improve the game. Based on feedback across Steam reviews, the game’s official forum and Discord, and social media; a new roadmap has been developed.
The first major improvement will be improving the first hour of gameplay; via it having “a smoother tutorial, more intuitive and user friendly, revamped with better environments: we have begun reworking the beginning of the game, which seems have disappointed a lot of players.”

Of the above, Nekaroo breeding, summoning, New Game +, new dungeons, mobs, quests, a character, and “one special surprise” were explicitly mentioned to be free updates. If the latter is the same as the “extra special additional content;” it is likely all of the above will be free updates.
