Nintendo have announced that Kazuya from Tekken will be joining Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as a DLC character in Fighters Pass Vol. 2.
Kazuya Mishima is the son of Heihachi, who killed his mother. At a mere five years old, his attempt at revenge was doomed to fail, and Heihachi hurled his body off a cliff. This near-death experience activated the Devil Gene, granting him almost super natural powers. While he would succeed in his revenge, he seized his father’s company and began to use it to take over the world.
As with Ryu and Terry Bogard, Kazuya keeps many of his classic fighting game moves; and the original inputs may enhance their powers. It is also likely Kazuya may constantly face his opponents in 1 v 1 matches.
Director Masahiro Sakurai stated during the Nintendo Direct that more information will be revealed on June 28th. It is likely that we will see a release date and more Mii costumes then. In earlier news, Sakurai revealed the final two Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC characters will launch this year.

Other Fighters Pass Vol. 2 DLC characters have included Min Min from ARMS, Steve from Minecraft, Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII, and Pyra and Mythra from Xenoblade Chronicles 2. This also marks Kazuya as the 10th Challenger Pack character, and second to last DLC character. Fighters Pass Vol. 2 is also the last DLC characters to be added for the game.
