Deep Silver have confirmed the Steam release date for wacky open world crime action adventure Saints Row: The Third – Remastered.
As previously reported, players control one of the Third Street Saints. Once small time hoodlums, they are now a major criminal network and celebrities.
After a robbery on a Syndicate-owned bank goes south, you are now in charge of the gang after the death of Johnny Gat. Your goal is to wreck havoc and take over everything in the city of Steelport; taking everything from the Syndicate and the gangs under their thumb. The remastered edition boasts enhanced graphics, all three expansions, and over 30 pieces of DLC.
The announcement was surprisingly low key, with a Twitter user asking the game’s official Twitter account if the game would be coming to Steam. “Yes May 22” came the official reply. According to other Twitter users and SteamDB, the game’s Steam page has gone live today. It seems that sometimes when you ask, you do receive.
Saints Row: The Third – Remastered is available on Windows PC (via the Epic Games Store, May 22nd on Steam), PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia.
