Saints Row: The Third – Remastered Announced, Launches May 22 for Epic Games Store, PS4, and Xbox One

Saints Row: The Third - Remastered

Deep Silver have announced Saints Row: The Third – Remastered, along with its release date.

While leaked earlier today by an ESRB rating, the game has now been officially announced. The 2011 action-adventure sandbox game has been remade via Spearasoft, including updated graphics, character models, audio, and lighting.

Players control one of the Third Street Saints, once small time hoodlums, now a major criminal network and celebrities. After an attack on a Syndicate owned bank goes south, you are now in charge of the gang, and are planning to take everything the Syndicate owns in the city of Steelport away from them.

The official website notes the game also comes with “over 30 DLC,” including all three mission packs. While not named, these would be Genkibowl VII, Gangstas in Space, and The Trouble with Clones.

Curiously the video’s description mentions “How the Saints Save Christmas,” and “Enter the Dominatrix”. The latter was originally an April Fools joke, before being planned as DLC for Saints Row: The Third, and then became Saints Row IV. How the Saints Save Christmas was also DLC for that game.

As there have been recent news regarding Saints Row IV: Re-Elected heading to Nintendo Switch, we assume this was included by mistake. The press release is currently only available in German, and it makes no mention of either of the above.

You can find the announcement trailer below.
