SNK Corporation have have released a new gameplay teaser trailer for The King of Fighters XV focused on Yuri Sakazaki.

Originally appearing in Art of Fighting, she is the younger sister of Ryo Sakazaki, and the first female user of Kyokugenryu Karate. This balances offense and defense, while channeling Ki into powerful strikes. While only having a basic understanding of it, Yuri incorporates her own surprisingly effective moves into it. These include slaps, jumping uppercuts, and her flying hip tackle En’yoku.

Caring, friendly, and seeking to always improve; Yuri has been nicknamed the Wild Flying Swallow thanks to her fighting abilities. Despite her brother’s initial protests, she now often stands alongside him in teams.

As previously reported at the game’s announcement, the game is currently being optimized, with certain features being “brushed up.” An animated promotional short by Masami Obari (the 1990s Fatal Fury movies) is set to be released soon, along with a new trailer next week.

The King of Fighters XV launches 2021. Platforms have not been confirmed at this time. We shall keep you informed as we learn more.
