SNK Corporation have fully unveiled The King of Fighters XV alongside a release window for the game.
The King of Fighters XVÂ is set to release sometime this year, and development platforms still weren’t announced.
The game is currently being optimized, with certain features being “brushed up.” The next trailer will be released next week, along with an animated promotional short by Masami Obari (the 1990s Fatal Fury movies).
While the trailer was initially postponed, the trailer is now live. During the short presentation by producer Yasuyuki Oda and creative director Eisuke Ogura, they revealed the game will stick to fact-paced action, along with new elements to ramp up the excitement. They also explain that technology now available to them allows to do things they could not in the prior title.

The presentation also discussed The King of Fighters XIV Ultimate Edition, The King of Fighters 2002 Unlimited Match coming to PlayStation 4, and Cham Cham and Hibiki Takane heading to Samurai Shodown.
