SNK Corporation have released a new gameplay teaser trailer for The King of Fighters XV, focused on Kyo Kusanagi.

Much like Iori Yagami, Kyo is a decedent of one of the three clans that sealed Orochi away, and also possess control over fire. Kyo is far more interested in enjoying life however, and deeply cares about his friends and family despite his impulsive attitude.

While Kyo’s flames do not possess the mystical properties like Iori’s, they can still roast foes as he pummels them with his take on Kenpo Chinese boxing and the Kusanagi clan’s martial arts.

As previously reported at the game’s announcement, the game is currently being optimized, with certain features being “brushed up.” An animated promotional short by Masami Obari (the 1990s Fatal Fury movies) is set to be released soon, along with a new trailer next week.

The King of Fighters XV launches 2021. Platforms have not been confirmed at this time. We shall keep you informed as we learn more.
