Monster Hunter Rise Rampage Trailer; New Monsters and More

Monster Hunter Rise

Capcom have shown off new gameplay for Monster Hunter Rise during today’s Nintendo Direct; focusing on the Rampage, and new monsters.

While only briefly teased in prior trailers, the Rampage is an event where multiple monsters stampede through the village. Players must attempt to stop monsters from breaking through gates to get to the village; using their own weapons, traps, NPCs fighting along side you, and gun turrets.

These rampages also feature Apex monsters, such as Apex Arzuros, which will no doubt be a greater challenge.

The new trailer also features returning monsters Basarios and Volvidon, along with new monsters. These are the web and fire spitting spider-like Rakna-Kadaki, and the mud-slinging Almudron.

You can find the rampage trailer below.

As previously reported, the game will be the first mainline Monster Hunter title since the successful Monster Hunter World. Players return to the original style of gameplay, this time taking place in an eastern-style region, along with new mechanics, and monsters inspired by Japanese mythology.
