More leaks have revealed that the Prince of Persia remake will be Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake, likely to be revealed later today.
We previously reported how a store listing for a remake appeared online. Now, Video Games Chronicle (VGC) reports there was a now removed Amazon listing for “Prince of Persia Remake“.
They also report it having the placeholder release date of December 31st, and sold for £34.99 (est. $44.60 USD). As seen below, the listing also confirms the game coming to Xbox One.
In addition, a ResetEra user discovered banner adverts for the remake on the Russian UPlay platform, revealing the game’s title as Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake. The UPlay advert would also confirm the game’s release on Windows PC
Users were quick to condemn the game’s graphics from the screenshots shown, though few did hope the game would look better in motion.
The original Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time launched in 2003, this was an action-adventure puzzle-platformer reboot of the classic 2D platformer of the 1990s.
After ransaking an Indian city for the Dagger of Time, the prince is tricked into unleashing the Sands of Time by the Vizier, turning the city’s population into monsters. Now cursed and blessed with the ability to rewind time just before dying, the prince seeks to undo the harm he has done.
It is likely the game will be officially revealed later today during the Ubisoft Forward press conference. We will keep you informed as we learn more.
