Bilibili and developer Wildfire Game have launched action adventure game Eastern Exorcist in Steam Early Access.
As stated in the press release (via email), the game uses hand-drawn 2D environments and frame-by-frame animation, in a world of demons inspired by Chinese Opera. Players control an exorcist, slaying demons with “tactical combat mechanics.”
“Eastern Exorcist is a game where the visuals perfectly marry with the action,” says Wildfire Game co-founder Shaoyan Chen. “The hand-drawn action flows perfectly with the combat, and we’ve tried to make it appear as rich and real on screen as it feels in the hands of the person playing it. It’s time for gamers to take on the game’s bevy of beasts.”
You can find the launch trailer below.
Eastern Exorcist is currently $16.99 USD with a 20% discount until August 21st.
