Persona 5 Royal 1.4 million

Atlus have announced that Persona 5 Royal has sold 1.4 million units worldwide, along with the entire Persona franchise selling 13 million copies worldwide.

The original Persona 5 had sold 3.2 million units worldwide as of December 2019. Director Katsura Hashino would write a message of thanks to western fans soon after its western launch, due to the game being warmly received.

This has all brought the total number of Persona games shipped worldwide to 13 million units. To celebrate Persona 5 Royal is currently on sale for 28% off; albeit on the Japanese PlayStation Store. A commemorative piece of art was also produced, as seen above.

Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers is available for Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4 in Japan. The game’s localization is being planned.
