Aksys Games has released a new trailer for their upcoming western release of Piofiore: Fated Memories during the New Game+ Expo live stream.
Piofiore: Fated Memories is an otome game (a dating sim or romantic visual novel primarily aimed at women), where players take on the role of Liliana Adornato in the town of Burlone in the early 1900s.
After learning that she lives in the center of a turf war between three crime families, she is thrust into the world of crime, as members of the underworld seek to court her and claim her turf.

Liliana Adoronato was born and raised in the church in the center of the Italian city of Burlone. Three criminal organizations control parts of the city, and Lili discovers that she is literally in the center of their turf wars. Her encounters with the leaders of the Falzone, Visconti, and Lao-Shu families lead to danger and distraction. Once Lili is drawn into the shadowy world of organized crime, she realizes there is no going back.

The Nintendo Switch has increasingly become the console of choice for visual novel creators in the wake of Sony’s censorship policies. Last year Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa reaffirmed Nintendo’s commitment to “diversity and fairness of game software” and that it is not the place of platform management companies to inhibit it.
