Café Enchanté Comes to Switch This Fall, Demo Trailer

Aksys Games has released a new demo trailer for their upcoming western release of Café Enchanté during the New Game Plus Expo live stream.

Café Enchanté is an otome game (a dating sim or romantic visual novel primarily aimed at women), that has players take on the role of Kotone, a young woman that inherits her grandfather’s cafe in Tokyo.

Little does she know that the cafe she’s inherited sits at a mystical crossroads. Beings from multiple dimensions drop in from demon lords, to fallen angels, and many of them take an interest in the cafe’s new proprietress. Though the comings and goings of extra-dimensional beings does not got unnoticed by outside forces either.

You can find the demo trailer below.

You can read a rundown of the game below (via Aksys Games)

When Kotone inherits her grandfather’s Tokyo café, she discovers the shop holds more secrets than anyone could imagine. The café is a meeting place for beings from multiple, mystical worlds. You’ll meet the king of demons, a humanoid beast, a fallen angel, and more. And when government agents monitoring non-human activities show up at your door, your new café is about to become a lot more colorful.

• Prepare for chaos as handsome beings from different worlds step through a magical portal into your café!
• Learn more about your new companions and your grandfather as more surprises show up at your door.
• Discover an enchanting, uplifting, coffee-fueled tale filled with magic, monsters, and mysteries.

The Nintendo Switch has increasingly become the console of choice for visual novel creators in the wake of Sony’s censorship policies. Last year Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa reaffirmed Nintendo’s commitment to “diversity and fairness of game software” and that it’s not the place of platform management companies to inhibit it.

Café Enchanté launches Fall 2020 on Nintendo Switch.

In other news, Aksys Games released other trailers for upcoming otome and visual novel games on Nintendo Switch during the New Game+ Expo live stream. These include Piofiore: Fated Memories, Collar X Malice, and Collar X Malice-Unlimited-. Aksys Games also released a trailer for Pretty Princess Party.
