Ubisoft have announced Ubisoft Forward, their digital showcase and conference acting as a substitute for the cancelled E3 2020.
After E3 2020 was officially cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic, numerous companies including Microsoft, Devolver Digital, and Ubisoft (but not Bethesda), announced they would be hosting their own digital events. Geoff Keighley announced the Summer Game Fest, while IGN also stated they would host a Summer of Games in June.
Now, Ubisoft have announced Ubisoft Forward, an “an E3-style showcase with plenty of exclusive game news, exciting reveals, and much more.” Combining Ubisoft’s blog post with their tweet, we know the time and date of the event.
Previous years have shown them often utilizing dancing groups (usually with someone in a panda costume) to promote a new Just Dance game [1, 2, Editor’s Note: The first link utilizes a third-party upload]. However, it seems unlikely this will happen this year.
What will we see from Ubisoft? What do you think? Sound off in the comments below!
Ubisoft Forward premieres July 12th at 12 p.m. PDT / 9 p.m. CEST. While platforms have not been announced at this time, we imagine we will see it on YouTube, and Twitch.
