A showcase of games coming to the Epic Games Store in Spring 2020 has revealed that Samurai Shodown will be heading to the Epic Games Store on Windows PC.
At 0:45, footage of the game along with its release date are shown. As of this time, no official announcement has come from SNK Corporation, but it would seem highly likely this is official.
You can find that video below.
In June 2019, Samurai Shodown director and art director Nobuyuki Kuroki stated that an offer of exclusivity on Window PC from a “PC download sales platform,” had been rejected by SNK Corporation CEO Koichi Toyama.
At the time, the offer was allegedly made if the game had achieved a certain number of preorders. This was rejected, as Toyama felt the game could sell more. If that platform was the Epic Games Store, it seems something may have changed since then.
You can find the full rundown on the game (via Epic Games Store) below.
