Need for Speed: Heat Announced for PC, PS4, and Xbox One

Publisher Electronic Arts and developer Ghost Games have announced Need for Speed: Heat.

The latest in the long-running franchise is described as the “ultimate street racer-versus-cop fantasy,” and it’s coming to Windows PC (via EA Origin), PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on November 8th. Featured above, you can view a new trailer for the game.

EA Access and Origin Access Basic members will get up to 10 hours of the game on November 5th, as part of the Play First Trial, while Origin Access Premier members get full early access on that date.

If you pre-order the standard version of the game you’ll get the K.S. Edition-styled Mitsubishi Evolution X in-game vehicle. Pre-orders for the Deluxe Edition get three K.S. Edition-styled cars (BMW i8 Coupe, Mercedes C63 AMG Coupe, and Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport), as well as access to exclusive deluxe edition character clothing, and finally increased in-game earnings on the in-game currencies. Lastly, pre-orders made from Need for Speed: Payback in-game will get you a 10 percent discount as a loyalty reward.

Here’s a brief overview of the game:

Need for Speed: Heat sends fans to Palm City, a brand-new open world where street racers have gathered to make their names known. By day, players compete in the Speedhunters Showdown, a sanctioned competition where they earn Bank to customize and upgrade their garage of high-performance cars. At night, players risk it all to build their Rep in underground races where a rogue police task force roams the streets, ready to take racers down and swipe all their earnings. The roads, the risks, and the rides never end in this street racer where a player can roll deep with their crew, build their garage full of hot cars, and make the city their nonstop playground.
