A new find suggests the remastered version of Final Fantasy VIII is going to include voice-overs for the first time.
The news comes via the game’s official website, where the official SEO description for the hotly anticipated remaster suggests full voice-acting is coming:
With fully overhauled visuals, see your favorite characters come to life like never before! FINAL FANTASY VIII Remastered is an RPG, available in English and Japanese voiceover, and is also text localized into French, Italian, German and Spanish.
The rest of the description is a brief overview of the game. The website has been updated since to remove this bit about the voice-acting.
As with any unconfirmed report, we’ll have to wait until Square Enix confirms this is the case – but I certainly am excited to hear the unrelenting broodiness of Squall, and the annoying Zell.
Final Fantasy VIII Remastered is launching across Windows PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch sometime this year.
