We’ve learned Valve’s popular Steam platform has over 1 billion users.

The Windows PC gaming digital platform reached the billion mark a few days ago, with total active monthly users topping 90 million.

It’s worth mentioning, however, that despite the billionth Steam account having been created, the total number of actively used accounts is obviously less than that number, and one person can set up multiple accounts, and so on.

The ongoing fight for PC gaming dominance continues, however, with Epic Games nabbing more exclusives – and even saying they’ll stop pursuing exclusive PC releases if Valve gives game developers a better revenue cut.
