Sega Looks to Focus More on Overseas and PC Markets

While Sega has been on a roll with putting more of their titles onto Windows PC, the publisher has officially confirmed this is a legitimate focus of their company moving forward.

The company has noted they’re focusing more on the western market, as well as the Windows PC scene – news confirmed in their latest financial report for the previous fiscal year.

Overall sales for the company have increased, but profits are in decline for the second consecutive year. Digital games and slot machines (Sega is big in that business still, in Asia) had the worst performance of their budget.

To combat this, Sega is focusing on putting more games onto PC, as well as bringing more games to western markets, as they predict the Japanese market will stagnate a bit. Repeat sales in western regions led to games like Yakuza 6 performing well, and increasing profits.
