Fatshark Announces Post Apocalyptic, Turn-Based Strategy Game “Dreadlands”

Blackfox Studios and Fatshark have announced Dreadlands, a new turn-based strategy game set in a shared, online world.

Dreadlands is set in the same colorful post-apocalyptic Sweden as Fatshark’s 2012 RPG, Krater. Players lead bands of scavengers, mercenaries, and misfits in search of Glonithium, a valuable resource worth killing over.

The game is set in a pseudo-MMO shared world where gamers can come across bands of scavengers led by other players that they can choose to cooperate with, or more likely, rob for their stuff.

Here’s a brief rundown of the game:

Welcome to the colorful apocalypse, and good luck.

Dreadlands is a turn-based skirmish strategy game in a shared world where you battle for the valuable resource – Glonithium, “Glow” for short. Explore the lush world in Dreadlands by travelling across its many regions with your misfit gang of miscreants and mercenaries.

It is set in a living post-apocalyptic shared world where players frequently encounter and interact with each other. Danger lurks around every corner as they sometimes cooperate in PvE, and other times they pick fights in bloody PvP battles.

Dreadlands doesn’t currently have a concrete release date beyond a nebulous “2019,” but you can follow it on Steam.
