Announced back in 2016, we’ve learned the Klonoa anime movie has been cancelled.

The news comes via manga artist Hitoshi Ariga, who confirmed over on Twitter that production on the film has been stopped. He served as co-producer and character designer on the feature-length movie.

Ariga apologized to fans, noting it’s difficult to point out a core reason why the project was cancelled.
