We’ve learned Sony isn’t hosting a PlayStation Experience event this year.
The news comes via the latest PlayStation Blogcast, where Sony Interactive Entertainment Worldwide Studios chairman Shawn Layden said that they “don’t want to set expectations really high and then not deliver on it,” so they made the “hard decision” to not hold their annual fan-focused event.
Layden made note of their recently launched Spider-Man game, as well as the games they have coming out next year like Dreams and Days Gone, when expressing their concern over not having too much to show off right now.
