Tozai Games has announced R-Type Dimensions is coming to Windows PC (via Steam) and Nintendo Switch.

The modern and upgraded port of the classic R-Type games is coming to both platforms sometime this winter. Featured above, you can view a new trailer for the ports.

Exclusive to the new ports is the new “Infinite Mode,” which lets you play with unlimited lives, a new “Co-Op Mode,” which enables up to two players to play together (one Joy-Con per player), and other new features like slow motion, achievements, player stats, and even fast-forwarding.

Originally released back in 2009 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, R-Type Dimensions includes both R-Type and R-Type II, only with new 3D graphics and upgraded sound. You can also toggle between the new visuals and aesthetics to the original 2D arcade style.
