This week’s Famitsu (via Games Jouhou) has Japanese developer Taito revealing their next game: the tentatively titled Ninja Warriors Again for Nintendo Switch.

While details are scant, the game appears to be a throwback follow-up in the vein of the Super Famicom original The Ninja Warriors (Ninja Warriors in the west), and is set for a release sometime next year in Japan.

Alongside the news is an interview with the developer, where they confirm other classic Taito intellectual properties and technology will be utilized for other new releases across all platforms. They noted that while getting into the console market is difficult for them, they want to appease their fans on all platforms.

In related news, Taito recently confirmed another classic IP release with the Darius Cozmic Collection for Switch – however that title is being handled by Japanese studio M2.
