Activision Removes Various Transformers Games and The Legend of Korra from Steam, PlayStation Store

We’ve learned Activision has quietly removed a multitude of Transformers games from Steam and the PlayStation Store, alongside the 2014-released game The Legend of Korra.

So far the affected games include:

  • Transformers: War for Cybertron
  • Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark
  • The Legend of Korra
  • Transformers: Fall of Cybertron
  • Transformers: Devastation

The various titles being delisted were first spotted (via RobotBrush) and seem to only have affected the PlayStation Store and Steam. All of the aforementioned games are still available over on Xbox Live. All of the games’ related DLC was also pulled.

Activision hasn’t responded to a request for comment, however it’s possible this is similar to their mass-removal of various Marvel games back in 2014. This could be related to the expiration of licenses, as some of these games were even critically acclaimed, like Transformers: Devastation.

Damn. Glad I got Fall of Cybertron on PS4 when it was on sale as there is no physical version for the PS4. I don’t think I ever got Devastation’s DLC though. :(

That’s a shame, even if Korra is mediocre and Dark Spark is straight trash.

    Dual-layer, 50GB Blu-ray.

The only content on it is a 543kb Steam Installer.

The two Cybertron games are pretty decent. Depends on how much you care about linear shooters though.

I would actually play them over Vanquish.

Not really as they will always be available digitally on PC. Digital media is the bees knees on PC.

Of course as consoles can’t do digital gaming properly.

Korra is cancer, but that’s still a shame. This is yet another example of why physical should never go away.

It states Playstation Store in the title. I don’t care about PC with regards to physical media.

Still trying to figure why did they completely removed Devastation from people’s profiles on Steam.

Korra’s alright. Nothing special but I paid a budget price for a budget Bayonetta and got exactly that. I wouldn’t recommend it over TF Devastation (which is legitimately one of my favorite games of the generation, along with most other Platinum games) but still.

I’m not solely blaming Platinum for Korra. The source material is trash and the game is average.

If you can get an licence key from a physical copy, you can activate, download, install and play the game even if it’s not on sale on the Steam store anymore.

The only legitimately bad game was Dark Shart. Everything else are solid games that don’t need to be ragged on.

I didn’t mention the games. I mentioned Activision.

Activision could somehow produce a non shit game and I’d still treat them like this. After over a decade of Activision shitting on gamers, there’s nothing they could do at this point to change my mind, other than file bankruptcy and divest their assets.

Maybe if Activision was a less shit company, this article wouldn’t have been written, eh?

Still if PT was released on PC new people will still be able to play it.
