Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap Heads to Nintendo Switch

Dotemu and independent developer Lizardcube have announced a Nintendo Switch version for Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap.

Lizardcube confirmed the game will run at 60FPS on the Switch, with the studio teasing the game’s visuals. “screen and colors in handheld mode are amazing, and it plays just as well in full HD when docked. We can’t wait to show you more!,” the statement reads.

A gorgeous new platformer based on Westone Bit Entertainment’s classic original series, development has been handled by Lizardcube and legendary series creator Ryuichi Nishizawa. A release date was not confirmed, however it’s set for a release sometime this year.

Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap is launching across PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One as well.
