Fire Emblem Warriors Nintendo Direct Set for January 18

Nintendo has announced a new Nintendo Direct broadcast dedicated entirely to the newly unveiled Fire Emblem Warriors.

Set to kick off on January 18th, we’re expecting to get a proper look at the Koei Tecmo and Omega Force-developed musou game, starring characters from across the Fire Emblem franchise.

Further details weren’t confirmed, however we’ll keep you guys posted.

Don’t see where they ever said “dedicated entirely to … Fire Emblem Warriors” in specific, just Fire Emblem. There’s still the mobile game coming out soon and always room to rumor-monger some more FE goodness somewhere.

    “Across the franchise”

More like Shadow Dragon, Awakening, and IF. That is if TMS#FE is anything to go by.

Koei Tecmo tend to be decent at covering big IP so Majora’s Mask and Windwaker did make it into Hyrule Warriors though they are also infamous for DLC exploitation.

Majora’s Mask made it in through DLC, Wind Waker made it in with the updated rerelease on 3DS 2 years after the original. It doesn’t bode well for FEW either.

No General Amelia with an axe-on-a-chain, no buy.

I never went with General Amelia. I always had her as a Paladin. I hate low movement low speed characters.

I just hope that it doesn’t have the GOD AWFUL localization that Fates had.

It depends on who exactly is going to localize the game. Do Koei Tecmo localize their own games, or is it the publishers?

The mobile game seems like a good bet for this, it’s supposed to be out soon after all.

Ike and the black knight is all I ask for since most of the awakening and fates cast are going to be in there anyway.

I don’t think it’s a direct for Warriors just a Fire Emblem direct I’m pretty sure a large chunk of it is going to be that mobile Fire Emblem game.

Or at least more than just characters from Shadow Dragon and Awakening. I was bothered by the “MAH ARACHANEA/YLISSE” nonsense in Tokyo Mirage Sessions

Koei Tecmo IS the publisher for this game, according to the game’s official site. So most likely they’re going to localize it, which means no censorship.

Koei Tecmo is publishing this game, not Nintendo apparently. At least, according to the game’s official site. If they’re publishing, then they’re probably the ones localizing, which likely means no censorship.

If we are talking launch, yeah, it looks rough but there is no reason to not expect free DLC, updates, upgraded versions and sequels like other KT games.

The only free DLC Hyrule warriors got was the amiibo update IIRC, and that was only if you had a link amiibo.

Koei Tecmo Is developing it, Nintendo Is publishing it. However Koei TecmoTend to do that own localization, so hopefully no interference from treehouse.

Lay one sensor in that fucking game and I’m done with the Fire Emblem series, as a whole.

As you can see, Koei Tecmo is very clearly listed as the publisher. Until further information is given (probably in the FE direct on 1/18), we have to assume that this is the case.

And I reiterate, Koei Tecmo rarely censors. The only censorship in a Warriors game that I can think of was the NA box art for Samurai Warriors 3, and even then, the game stayed unchanged.

That either a serious clerical error! or Nintendo is handing over more responsibilities to Koei Tecmo, then they have before.
but you are right, we will find out come the direct.
