Nintendo has been quite mum on just what exactly fans can expect from their codenamed NX console, as per their usual pre-hardware reveal hype train is usually known to operate.
Now, we’ve gotten a bit of clarification from Nintendo boss Shigeru Miyamoto, via the Associated Press:
“In terms of NX, there’s an idea that we’re working on. That’s why we can’t share anything at this point, and I don’t want to comment on the other companies. If it was just a matter of following advancements in technology, things would be coming out a lot quicker.”
It sounds like Nintendo is yet again thinking outside typical industry conventions, instead opting for hardware based around an idea or concept, much like the dual-screens on their handhelds, the motion-controllers for the Wii, and the tablet-controller for the Wii U.
What do you guys hope to see with Nintendo’s new NX console?
