Free-to-Play Shooter Kill Strain Release Set for July 19

Sony Interactive Entertainment and Sony’s own San Diego Studio have announced the release date for Kill Strain, their upcoming free-to-play shooter.

The PlayStation 4 top-down cooperative/competitive shooter will launch on July 19th in both North America and Europe. PlayStation Plus members will be able to play the game a bit earlier, on July 12th. Featured above, a new trailer for the game was revealed.

Players will be tasked with fighting two other teams (for a total of three teams) for total domination. The asymmetric game has two teams of five striving to control “The Strain” while two players control the mutants, inhuman creatures that have come into contact with “The Strain.”
