No Man’s Sky Director: I Received Death Threats Over Delaying the Game

Hello Games recently made the decision to delay their ambitious space sandbox, No Man’s Sky, from its planned June release date to one in the beginning of August.

Following this, there was a noticeable glut of responses, mostly saying they’re happy with the game receiving more polish, or that they’re not sure if they can stand the wait, and even some repeating earlier criticisms (the game is too ambitious, it’ll never get done, etc).

However, some fans have reportedly been dishing out death threats to Hello Games’ managing director Sean Murray, who is also the director for No Man’s Sky.

“I have received loads of death threats this week, but don’t worry, Hello Games now looks like the house from Home Alone #pillowfort” said Murray on Twitter.

“Tell me when its safe to remove the marbles and oil from the stairs. It’s getting really cumbersome, and I need the toilet,” he continued.

No Man’s Sky is now set for a release on August 9th in North America, followed by August 10th in Europe.
