LastFight is a Fun, Addicting, Power Stone Throwback Set for PC, PS4, Xbox One

LastFight is a multiplayer fighting game in the vein of the classic party brawler Power Stone, and it’s based on the iconic French comic series Last Man (The Stranger) by Bastien Vivès.

We got the chance to play the game at length during this year’s PAX East, alongside the opportunity to chat with one of the main developers on the three man team working on the game under the creative vision of Vivès himself.

Featured above, you can get a look at the game’s latest character reveal trailer – Crystal, a character that Vivès created himself (he created all the game’s characters).

It’s quite a unique and refreshing take on game adaptation of existing media, and from what we experienced, it seems to be working really well. The game is currently in development for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, and is set for a release on May 19th. It will cost $15 across all platforms.

Expect our hands-on preview and interview with the team at Piranaking coming prior to the game’s release. For now, you can peruse the game’s official Steam page, which just went live.

Pax coverage here has been sparse besides Let it Die.
Do you have any other interviews to publish?

If we are talking about Pax here, then: Hob, Necropolis, TES Legends, Mirage Arcane Warfare, Pit People, Katana Zero, Pyre, were just a few good ones that grabbed my eyes….

Back then I used to play with 3 other friends on Power Stone 2 for the Dreamcast, with ALL the items and weapons unlocked. I can tell you that it was some of the best times ever in my video game life.

    Crystal’s design is extremely problematic.

Therefore Vivès is a sexist, misogynist, woman-hater, chauvinistic pig, needs to grow up, it’s 2016, etc. etc. etc.

I’ve had the chance to try the game and it really does bring that Power Stone feeling, but it is a bit faster. It’s also pretty cool that the characters are speaking French.

Between getting settled back in at home, work, family, getting sick, it’s been rough. Trying to get everything out by this weekend. Promise!

I know right? I have some great memories of powerstone 4-person games.

Imma be honest, I hope that the stages aren’t that small. If so it’ll feel claustrophobic compared to Power Stone.

I wish I could, but I live in central Europe, but from what gameplay/commentary I’ve seen online the Pax this year was especially strong….

It seems they made it more similar to the first power stone. It’s like they took the…size of ps1 and added the 4 player mayhem of power stone 2

Power Stone 1 had some levels bigger than the one shown in this video though. I hope there’s some variety in the size.
