Frogwares have announced their own Cthulhu-themed investigation title, The Sinking City.
The open world Lovecraftian-themed game is set in the 1920s, where you take control of a private eye who mysteriously finds himself in the city New England city of, Oakmont Massachusetts.
The region is undergoing a drastic flood, which seems to be stemming from a supernatural origin.
Frogwares talked up the game in a blog post:
“It’s bigger than what we ever did and we feel it’s the right next step for us, bringing the investigations to be free and opened in the city. We also believe that Lovecraft universe [and the] Cthulhu Mythos is the right setting for the game.”
It’s worth mentioning that Frogwares were previously working on Call of Cthulhu, only to be quietly removed from the project, which is now in the hands of Cyanide Studios.
