4 Player Co-op Metroidvania, Endica VII, Launches Next Week

Thanks to the success of Axion Verge, Metroid-esque games seem to be all the rage online. Though many of them are similar, they all try to look for that one hook that will separate them from the pack. Endica VII: The Dream King is attempting to get noticed by adding 4 player co-operative play to the metroidvania formula. It seems developer “Dream Within Studios” put quite a bit of passion into it though, with the game getting a cameo from Shovel Knight as well as some bonus tracks from a guest composer:

The Dream King is the world’s first 4-Player Co-op & Versus Side Scrolling Action RPG that combines elements from multiple differing classic gaming genres into a single, incredible “Metroid-vania” type of indie video game! In addition to it’s unique blend of features, there’s also a big focus on the gameplay, story, and characters!
The Dream King will immerse the players in an enormous high fantasy world with a wide range of characters and story! It is being developed for multiple platforms including Windows, Mac, Ubuntu, and possibly even a big release on the major home consoles a bit later on!
Endica VII The Dream King also features fan created content from our Kickstarter Backers, such as Reize from Shovel Knight and also featuring a few bonus tracks from the world famous Secret of Mana composer, Hiroki Kikuta!

The game has a Greenlight page as well as a twitter feed if you want to keep up to date on its run up to launch day next week.
