Bloodborne has garnered very favorable reviews (even from us, check our written review here), but how does the game stack up to the previous creations from storied From Software boss Hidetaka Miyazaki?

We’ve learned from this month’s Official PlayStation Magazine UK (via PSU) that Miyazaki-san actually has a favorite boss in the entire series, and that boss is from Demon’s Souls, the game that put his career into overdrive.

“I’m actually fond of a great many enemies and bosses from each title,” Miyazaki said. “But let me weed it down to one: the Old Monk. This boss utilised a unique (and rather experimental) multiplayer system. I remember facing a lot of opposition to realise the idea. I also designed the boss’ head collar myself.”

So there you have it – Miyazaki-san may not outright say which game he favors entirely, but he certainly is most fond of the Old Monk. What is your favorite boss from the entire Souls franchise, or Bloodborne?
