The storied and legendary PlayStation 2 has turned 15 years old today. The follow up to Sony’s PlayStation One first launched in Japan on March 4th, 2000, with the rest of the world getting the console later that year.

The Playstation 2 quickly became a hot seller, eventually taking a place in video game history as the top-selling video game console of all time, with over 155 million units sold worldwide. It has a library of games that exceed over 3,874 games, with a combined 1.5 billion games sold.
