Illegal Version of Darkest Dungeon For Sale On Windows App Store

Although everyone berates Apple for their draconian rules governing the uploading of apps to their own store, it could be said Microsoft could learn a thing or two from them, since they are currently selling a version of Darkest Dungeon that is not endorsed or sold by the original developers.

The game claims to be the product of a man going by the name of Balaji Chowdary, and has caused developer Red Hook Studios to seek Microsoft’s help in removing the infringing file. Word is that the manager of the Indie Xbox program, Agostino Simonetta, has contacted them, but the illegal upload of Darkest Dungeon still exists as of this writing.

The same person who is selling this app on the Microsoft-branded service is also selling other popular titles such as Lego Batman 2 and Shadowrun: Dragonfall. There has been no official word yet on when the illegal listing will be removed.
