Marriage is Now Available to Everyone in Final Fantasy XIV

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn has just gotten a pretty nice addition to the game via patch 2.45 – player marriages.

The ability to marry in game comes from the Eternal Bond ceremony, which is submitted via the MogStation website. You can pick between three different plans: standard, gold and platinum. The standard is naturally free, while the swanky gold and platinum ones have a fee.

If you purchase the gold or platinum plan, you’ll get a special two-set chocobo mount, and a wedding gift – which turns out to be a minion. Featured above, you can view a trailer that showcases the entire event.

It’s worth noting that Square Enix has made the wedding ceremony available to all combinations of races and genders – yes this means you could have two Roegadyn dudes get married together.

You can even make the ceremony extra special, with the NPC officiating the marriage ceremony being customizable. You could opt for the traditional priest, or you could be more fun and be wed by a moogle. There’s also dedicated wedding hairstyles, hugging emotes, and NPCs that guide you throughout the entire process.
