Slowpoke has always been somewhat of an easy target in the Pokemon world, mostly due to its slow and carefree nature.

Coming from this, it seems like even The Pokemon Company agrees upon this, because they’ve commissioned an official reggae-styled theme song that’s all about Slowpoke. Featured above, you can listen to it in all its glory, and bear witness to the somewhat mesmerizing visuals.

The song itself is titled “Donai Yanen Yadon”, which roughly translates to “You’re a Slowpoke After All”, with Slowpoke’s name being Yadon in Japan. The lyrics themselves run the gamut of strange to downright hilarious, with bits saying things like “Your mouth is always open like a convenience store”, and “Should you be proud that you move so slowly that you never blur in photos?”
