Prepare for the Japanese Launch of Freedom Wars with a Giant Block of Gameplay

Freedom Wars is launching in Japan very shortly, and to celebrate, 4Gamer.net has published a whopping twelve minute gameplay video for the game.

Freedom Wars is a collaborative development effort between three studios: Shift, Dimps, and Sony Computer Entertainment Japan. The story within the game is set in the near future where pollution has ravaged the earth, forcing people to live in mega-cities known as Panopticons.

To help control the still burgeoning population of humans, a creed was enacted to implement a prison sentence on each person, as the Panopticons were converted into essentially giant penal colonies. Each citizen must fight to lower their prison sentence, hopefully unlocking their freedom at some point.

One of these days I have got to give one of these hunting games a go to see what all the fuss is about.
