You read that right – remember that weird teaser that Namco Bandai put up that had random phrases from unknown voice actors? Well, it turns out that the teaser wasn’t much far off from reality, as they revealed that the teaser was for a game about just that – managing voice actors in a studio. The game is called CV: Casting Voice, and it’s set for Playstation 3.

You’ll play as a producer, tasked with communicating between the voice actors on various projects, setting up casts and recording sessions. You can freely choose who to cast for different projects. As your reputation increases, you’ll be able to use scripts and voice actors you couldn’t use before.

The scripts you can work with in game range from completely original material to stuff from previous Namco Bandai games. Both young and old voice actors will be included, in total there will be over 40 voice actors contributing to the title.

These are the confirmed characters so far:

  • Saya Uchiyama (内山紗彩) (voice by Ayana Taketatsu) – 20 years-old. Her nicknames include Saaryan and Saayasama. Contrary to her normal appearance, she’s actually somewhat of a shut-in. Working as an anime voice actress has naturally been a dream of hers since she was a child.
  • Kumiko Tojou (十条玖美子) (voice by Kikuko Inoue) – 19 years-old. Her nicknames include Tojou-san, Kumi-chan, and “The 19 Year-Old.” She is very calm and gentle, and a former idol voice actress. She’s also the leader of the “19 Year-Olds Party.”
  • Kiyohiko Hino (姫乃雪彦) (voice by Tsubasa Yonaga) – 20 years-old. His nicknames include Hi-kun and Yuki-chan. Hino is a new voice actor for cute characters. Ever since he was a child, he has been told he is really cute, so he chose to become a voice actor.
  • Takashi Dojo (道場崇) (voice by Shigeru Chiba) – 54 years-old. His nicknames include: Mitchie, Michiba-san. He has a naturally bright and funny personality, but he can also be very strict. He has provided the lead role in a number of silly anime, and he feels he is good at action.

CV: Casting Voice is set for release sometime in 2014. the game is currently 30% percent complete.
