Worldwide Sales for Senran Kagura Series Top 1.65 Million Copies

We’ve learned worldwide sales for the entire Senran Kagura series have surpassed 1.65 million copies.

The news comes from series creator and huge boob producer Kenichiro Takaki, who confirmed the new milestone on his own Twitter.

Takaki-san noted that he forgot to mention the news during their expansive stage presentation earlier this month, where they revealed a multitude of new Senran Kagura titles.

He went on to say that in retrospect, it would have been amazing if the games sold even 30,000 copies. He also said that sales aren’t everything, but he would be happy if they sold more.

The original game in the series, Senran Kagura: Skirting Shadows, first launched for the Nintendo 3DS back in 2011. It has since gotten sequels and spinoffs across PC, PlayStation 4, PS Vita, and even smartphones, as well as a TV anime. The latest game in the series, Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash, has a western release coming in Q3 of this year.
