Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan has announced they’re making the “Glacier White” PlayStation 4 model a standard in the region.

The model will enter full production on July 29th, while it was previously released in Japan as a limited stock model back in February of this year.

Sony is going to offer the model in both 500GB and 1TB options, alongside the standard “Jet Black” PlayStation 4 model.

Cool. I really like my my white PS4 (Original model). I think the colour scheme looks really good on the console and the controllers.

  • Uncle Ocelot

The white console looks more appealing than the standard black, but to be honest if I could, I’d be all over that PS1-style model.

  • Baron Krause

Well that’s one way to sell through the old hardware.

  • RPG

I really wanted to get my hands on that OG PS edition of the PS4. However, it was near impossible to get, and the scalpers just flipped them immediately for exorbitant amounts of money sadly.

  • Eldhin Hellknight

This should have been the standard model instead of the black one (just like Xbox One S)

  • Snorlaxation

I do like the sharp ‘clean’ look, but either black or white, I have decal’s I want to put on them.

  • Kuinli

How is it that whenever a console is black it always looks sexier in white and viceversa?
