Persona 5 hard mode and finally past the point where I’m drip fed tutorial and game mechanics. Every game since P3 has been 3 days of story before you get to the mechanics of the game until the end of the first month. This still has that kind of tutorial but it trys to teach the mechanics in more variety try giving more frequent battles and exploration at the start. Life sim part is fun and while rpg part has more than persona 3+4 it’s still not as intricate as 1+2 still.

Dual audio in persona 5 was worth the wait if I believed waiting on development was a problem of course. Mostly because I just had to read someone some say “What Up fricken Persona!?” “This if Effin awesome.” and “Get wrecked” rather than hearing it. Characters seem alright though I’ll have to look into them prior to localize dialogue.

The Life sim half of the game has got alot more to it now though it doesn’t really feel like it blends or rewards any of the rpg elements of the games. Confidants, this game socail links, are stuck just exp boost for levels; originally we didn’t have levels until social links so it still feels tacked on besides story reasons.

While I much prefer intricate rpgs over this kind of battle system I can look past that to enjoy other aspects of the games. Still doesn’t top Ibunroku megami persona for me, but please give it a try because life sim elements are really fun despite seeming like anime high school simulator.

This game is turning out to be phenomenally fun to play. Minus a couple small potatoes here and there, I think this may be the best Overall persona game yet.

  • Post was not actually meant to roll out so sloppy, but fuck it we are doing it live.

You guys are aware Atlus has threatened legal action towards anyone who streams the game after 7/7 in game, yes?

Really disappointed that you can’t equip multiple persona to your party members like in classic persona. You could do that in Q so I was so certain that would be the case. Atleast there is more to do in battle then all-out attack million times. Then again I play this for the life sim more than the rpg even though I wish it was a more intricate rpg in battle mechanics than high school anime sim. Still more than P3+P4, but not on the level of P1+P2 (also even on hard mode playing this game is too easy.)

If it’s true, they have the right to do so.
