New Trailer for Resident Evil: Vendetta Movie Introduces English Voice Cast

Capcom and Kadokawa have revealed a new trailer for the upcoming Resident Evil: Vendetta CG movie.

Featured above, the new trailer shows a whole host of returning characters like Chris Redfield, Leon S. Kennedy, Rebecca Chambers, and more.

This is also the first time we’re getting a preview of the movie’s English voice cast. The movie features a new story that will also be reminiscent of the original game, according to producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi.

Resident Evil: Vendetta is set for a worldwide release sometime next year.

The CG movies are all the good stuff left of this franchise. Don’t fail me now.

So when does this take place in the canon… After RE6?

  • Matthew Hage

At least Resident Evil lives on in CGI movie form, after they killed the game.

If it does, I can’t watch it. Story-wise, I have to pretend that all the RE games after 4 don’t exist to maintain my sanity, lol. 5 was an absolute trainwreck, and since I’ve heard 6 was even worse…

    no Berry Burton? No buy

  • John Fartface

    it’s a remake

Is Roger Craig Smith voicing Chris?

  • Etherblaze

This actually looks like good stuff. RE CG movies are always good.

I pretend all games after Code Veronica don’t exist for a similar reason.
Not counting Zero and REmake. Obviously.

What Leon NEEDS is a new haircut.

I thought 4’s story didn’t mess up the setting or storyline- the only impact made on the overall storyline was that Wesker got access to one more type of bioweapon, which is minor. None of the characters were portrayed in ways at odds with their personalities, the story-while over the top- was consistent without many holes, and if you didn’t like the story, it wasnt a big deal because of its aforementioned small impact on the world of Resident Evil.

5, on the other hand, ruined not just the overall setting but multiple main characters by reinventing them in ways that were completely at odds with their personality, had a plot with so many massive plot holes that it was pretty much nonsensical, and just pretty much took a big steaming pile on the lore.

So while I know 4 is divisive, I would argue the series didn’t jump the shark until 5- 4’s sins were venal.

All the movies are a prelude to an upcoming game
