Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs bath scenes “will be different” on Switch

Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs: The Thrilling Steamy Maze Kiwami is being ported to new platforms, and the Nintendo Switch version will be “different” from the other releases.

Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs: The Thrilling Steamy Maze Kiwami originally released on the PS4 in 2018, but now the game is being ported to PC, Nintendo Switch, PS5, and smartphones (along with limited edition and paid DLC).

However, on the game’s official website, there was a small tidbit next to the Nintendo Switch release:

The statement says that the Nintendo Switch version of the game’s “Kansou Reisen” in-game system (the bathing mini-game) will be presented differently from other platforms.

Many have suggested the game might be censored, which would be odd, as Nintendo Switch titles are often completely uncensored, while PlayStation releases have typically censored sex appeal and lewd outfits for years.

Some critics suggest the message on the website is possibly being misinterpreted, and that it’s implying the other versions will be toned down. It’s also possible that the differences might be trivial and not actual censorship.

The game was already released in Japan back in 2018 for the PS4, and that version was eventually censored so that more steam was used to cover the bathing scenes.

Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs: The Thrilling Steamy Maze is set to launch on January 18th across Windows PC (via Steam), Switch, PS5, and smartphones.
