Yuukyuu Gensoukyoku Revival announced

Yuukyuu Gensoukyoku Revival

Publisher Taito and developer Bridge have announced Yuukyuu Gensoukyoku Revival, a new remake of the classic friendship-building simulation game.

The new remake of the original Yuukyuu Gensoukyoku (Eternal Fantasy) game is being developed for Nintendo Switch, with a release set for winter in Japan.

Development on the game is being handled by Bridge Co., Ltd., a studio made up of mostly former staff who worked on the original game. The studio is familiar with the atmosphere of that era and is striving to create a game that will evoke memories of that time and make you want to play it again.

Furthermore, original artist moo is returning to fully redesign all of the characters himself, brushing them up for a modern style without compromising the characteristics and atmosphere of the original designs and cast.

The original Yuukyuu Gensoukyoku was released back in 1997 for the Sega Saturn and original PlayStation under publisher MediaWorks (now KADOKAWA). The game became popular over its focus on friendship with both sexes instead of a focus on just romance, and went on to spawn an entire franchise.
