The fifth season of cycling anime Yowamushi Pedal: Limit Break will premiere on October 9 as part of the Fall 2022 anime season.
The series follows a teenager who biked 45 kilometers every day back and forth from home. But rather than cycling, Sakamichi Onoda is more interested in anime and manga, having grown up in Akihabara. However on entering high school he learned the anime club had been disbanded.
Since there’s no anime club, Onoda is quickly scouted by the school’s cycling club whose president had seen him cycling on some of the more treacherous paths. Can this otaku keep up in the world of competitive cycling?

Yowamushi Pedal began in 2008 from creator Wataru Watanabe. The series received its first anime season back in 2013. Of course cycling is far from the most eccentric sport we’ve seen in recent years.
